arie Spinella-Phillips,
the artist behind Tardis Stables, started in the hobby
back in 1986 and is a relatively new customizer compared to some
of our major veterans of twenty years or more--but don't let that
fool you, she's done a lot of customized models over the years!
Her first Breyer was a 1961 issue (you guessed it) Family Arabian
Mare named T'Pal.
Marie uses acrylics when painting and her favorite Breyer molds to work on include the Proud Arabian Stallion, Adios, Clydesdale Stallion, 5-Gaiter, Midnight Sun, San Domingo, Roy, Lady Phase and the Western Horse.
When she's not working on models, Marie is a science fiction writer--she just finished part one of a trilogy and is in the process of looking for a publisher. She's also written fictional stories about her models, perhaps I can get her to type some up so we can read them! Marie also enjoys spending time with her husband of 5 years (It took them 18 years to get around to the marriage part--please don't tell my Mike! We've been together for 8 years now and I don't want to wait 10 MORE years before we're married!!), and catching her favorite sports on television.
Marie is also the proud owner of about one million kitties! Ok, so maybe not that many, but she's got a nice-sized handful for sure! These cute little devils have their own page, so please make sure to visit Marie's Kitties!
