ASPEN

Aspen is a one mold run, which began as the Carol Gasper "Sedona" resin and was reworked (with the sculpting artist's permission) as a braided mane/tail hunter. More detail was added on the face and muscling was sharpened. Production by the caster resulted in legs and tail being much finer than originally intended, as they were often sanded down at the factory to pencil-thin! Sommer received no payment for the resculpting work, but instead was allowed to retain a percentage of the edition to paint and re-sell. Thus, many of the edition. like the dapple gray copies shown here, feature her painting work.
