I had no idea who he was, just a gift from my brother 30 years ago. It was thanks to MHG I was able to identify the mold and a simple search to find his worth on ebay. OMG $150????? Thank you for saving me from my own stupidity!

This is Beswick's Model # 1771, the Arab, "Bahram", designed by Arthur Gredington. He stands 7 1/2" tall. The Connoisseur Series Model done from 1970-1989 in grey matt. On the base, he would stand 8 1/4" tall.

7.5"; scanned in from the 1994 Beswick/Royal Doulton catalog. This appears to be DA 52, Arab Horse, Beswick # 1771, designed by Arthur Gredington. 7 1/2" tall. He came in brown gloss and matt. He was produced by Royal Doulton from 1989-1997.
